When the computer was at the service center for three weeks they installed a new motherboard. Due to the fact that the mouse and keyboard ports were not working. So the motherboard is brand new. I also bought another 512MB of RAM. I took the factory RAM out and tried the new stuff... Same problem... That would leave only the Processor I suppose... Unless it was the harddrive or something like that. And nobody else I know has a P4. So I wouldn't know how to get another one besides buying it myself.

I just can't even look at the damn thing. I don't even want to touch it. Because, I just get more and more pissed. And one of these times I am gonna pick that muthaphuckka up and smash it on the sidewalk outside my house! And I really DON'T want to do that!

If Best Buy refuses to act, that is probably the next step I was planning on taking.

Technically they don't have to help you with ****, 90% of the time they just say goto Hp about it...Cause even though u've had it serviced like 3-4 times before Hp will buy your computer back, u have to service it another 3-4 times before they will offer a buy back

/\ Agrees !!! toss the "system restore disk" and get a real OS disk/s. Hang in there and get ur money back! Then go to a computer shop and have a system built not a POS bundle from chain store. Best of luck.

UPDATE: Well, I haven't heard back from the store yet. My guess is they probably don't really care. So no suprise there. I'll wait a few more days and send my letters out and make my phone calls. No skin off my nose to do it. Ghey though that they wouldn't even call me.

No suprise really. The only way to get something done is send emails to head honchos. Doing that WILL get something done. Send it to the regional manager or whatever they have. I know the one we had here in Alberta, when he got a complaint from a customer he came down to the store and got MAD at our Store Manager. It works well
