Codec question

I've got an XVID DVD clip that I'm trying to play and although it plays the video it does not have any sound. I use Windows Player Classic and I've got the newest version of DivX installed. Any suggestions on where to find a Codec pack that will work as I don't want to download any garbage onto my computer.

when i have a problem with a file playing i use a program like g-spot to tell me what codec i need for sure

I had a problem with an xvid file with audio and i think i needed an ac3 codec , but use the above program to check what audio codec for sure

If it ac3 you can find it here
