I was watching CTV Sportsnet earlier when they were talking about the offer and they had an interview by Jeremy Roenick, in his opinion stated that if they dont accept this deal there wont be an NHL this year and the players wont hesitate to find somewhere else to play and forget about the NHL. (sounds a bit greedy to me)

^^^Yeah I saw that as well I mean really what's stopping the players to do so? If they want to play bad enough they will do there own there which they should, now provided they kept it in Canada/USA of course.

Well yeah it does suck that it's gone because so many people like it. All I was stating is I don't miss it because I can't stand to watch it. Only play it.

Hopefully this deal will go thru because you sports fans need something to watch!

 

I wouldn't think so cause tecnically the team names and what not are owned/trademarked by the NHL so they would have to have new names I would thinkg. As for the rinks I think they could use them cause NHL doesn't own the rinks the city owns the rinks

 

The NHL has absolutely no ties to the areana's what so ever? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] Im sure there's a tiny piece in there thats a possibility as the NHL has advertisements all over each building if you think about it.
