Dilemma.. need some advice...
I don't see what's wrong?
I mean we all have priorities, he can choose the order of his just like anyone else. Can we see that it is probable he will regret it? Of course, but he may also be happy and move on to real cars afterwords
hehe

as i have my kid on my knee typing this
my suv is not the last toy i get but for now
Material things are nothing.
And you can always get them back or replace them.
I have sold my performance car and have sold all of my car audio because I changed my priorities. I am slowly getting back some car audio and eventually will have a much cooler performance car.
Let's face it, a CRX is a phase anyway, it's not like he is going to keep it for ever.
I can see that he would want to accomodate her and the kid. I couldn't imagine not having 4 seats though.

im thinking it is very true that material posessions can come back.
yeah a 4dr i guess is a good idea.
he has a truck though.
and also has a vw 4 dr passat i believe. an older one.
so i mean is this not enough? can he not keep his cool little daily driver?

Where does she have the right to even ask this of him? He works, takes care of her and a kid that isnt his...
I live with my girlfriend... She has never once ask me to sell my possessions. She isnt working right now, and has 2 girls. So money for her is tough to. But she has more respect for me then to demand more.
If they were starving and needed rent money and stuff i can see it.

There just isn't enough info here to make the correct call. Maybe she really likes him but can't get a job that pays well enough to afford daycare while she works. Or maybe she looks at him and only see's a paycheck and a baby-daddy. Maybe she just wants to stick with him long enough so that he gets stuck paying child support (yes even though it isn't his kid he can get stuck paying). Too many variables that we don't know.
I just broke up with my girlfriend tonight. Yes I will accept your well-wishes now and yes I am going to go sleep with one or two of her friends. So even though my judgement might be a bit off at the moment (and my buds took me out for pints tonight so it may be way off) I would say unless she's contributing to the household/relationship in some other way to make up for him paying all the bills he should just move on.

he has 2 of them, one is his daily driver and its nicely deckked out with ebay gear. i know i know ebay gear..haha right, but thats all he is willing to spend right now because he is just finishing up his apprenticeship to become a pipe fitter.
now... his new girlfriend, who has a kid already, and has no income of her own, is basically living off my friend chris.
She is making him sell his crx's because there is not any room for her baby.
How would you respond to this?
