get a good ol set of MTR's, or SSR's. SUX in winter, SUX on wet roads, and pretty much suck on dry roads. but man get in some nice thick mud, and youll LOVE EM. PROMESE. this is, if you are driving a truck, and love 4 wheeling.

now on topic, spend your money on a NICE set of winters. Dunlope Winter dualers seem to work pretty good. all seasons suck IMO in winter. just like an all terrain sux in mud. you always have to make comprimises when making a tire that is for "all" seasons. but safty in winter is somthing I personally dont think shoud be comprimized. Get good winters. dont drive em on dry pavement. they will last quite a long time. you and your family will be safe. and you will be happier in the long run.

This will be my 5th winter for my goodyear ultragrips. I wasn't a goodyear fan till I bought these tires. Super solid winter tire, and they definately don't wear easy like other brands.

personally i like round tires.

being from northern ontario, i have owned the best winter tires. and i actually prefer the ice trac fram CT. Laugh all you want but up here we get it all and i've never even had a second though when driving with these tires. Like i said i've had goodyear's bridgstone and yokahama's and the ice trac's are better.

just my 2cents.

I think I'll be getting the Nordic winter trac and studding the front 2.

They have my size on sale for like 65$ each.

Cant be any worse then the all seasons my car came with.

Come spring I'll get new summer tires.

Thanks for the help.

Good choice. For the cash, you definately can't do any better. You will notice a huge difference, especially if you stud them.

I have tried the Nordic Icetrac tires and was very disapointed in them. They seemed to really wander all over the road. They really didn't seem to have much better grip then the BFGoodrich Touring T/A all seasons I had on. Since trying Blizzaks, I am now on my second set (different vehicles) and still think they are fantastic.

Later,
Brad
