There's something to be said for living this far north.
THey're attempting to evacuate or shelter the entire city of New Orleans as the hurricane is expected to hit sometime around sunrise.
Some experts are saying this Category 5 Hurricane could sink the city, as most of it sits up to 3 meters below sea level....

Cajun is the contracted word for "Acadian"....
They were of Canadian origin and speak French.

wow.... THANK GOD I didn't buy a house there. I was about to head down after new years for about a month to scope out houses. Maybe I still will.. since I'm sure housing down in Jacksonville is dirt cheap now.
