Hurricane Katrina
We still have plenty of troops that could go if it was possible. Over a million in reserves. But, it's been said that a few thousand National Guards have been deployed down there. However, this is obviously not enough as the chaos still continues.
It certainly is sad to see a modern day "Atlantis" vanish before our eyes.
I definetly feel for the people in and around the New-Orleans area, And I hope that no further loss of life happens, like all of you.
Having read the string, I can't help but realize that it's ironic how all, if not a majority of cities world wide, are built on procarious geographical ground, from fault lines to living too close to water, or volcanic activity.
One city in Canada comes to mind for a triple whammy (fault line, water, and volcanic activity).
