Well...I got a $1 raise aboiut a month ago and now I get another $1 raise. And then when my probation is done,I may be getting another...

So yeah...I would consider getting $2/hr more over a month is doing pretty good....I didnt get a raise before this for over a year! So,right now I'm happy!

Db-I agree....I've worked damn hard all my teen and adult life to make something of myself to only get kicked in the head over and over...I finally got my slice of the pie....And I'm going to work damn hard to keep that slice and maybe get a bigger slice one day....

Congrats Aaron!

Be careful not to burn out though...14 hour days, day in, day out can really squeeze you lifeless unless you've got plenty of opportunities to rest in between...

You might consider moving closer to work b/c as you will discover personal time will become precious, and you won't like driving home after a long day if it takes forever to get back...and think of the gas you'll save plus wear & tear on the car...it's worth it to pay an extra couple of hundred in rent to be closer to work, trust me.

Also, now that you've got a position with some promise, make an appointment with a financial planner and start getting your credit back in order so you can buy your own place...a good planner can help coach you through and eliminate bad things on your credit past. Good Luck Aaron!
