Actually they where, it was in Blenheim small town, it was all done by hand when you went to buy them they would be making them by scratch loading up the flour and **** like that.... they would be covered in flour

As for the fattening bit - a bagel with butter is more fattening than a plain donut
My Aunt is a manager for a Tim Hortons in Ridgetown, hand formed maybe but they didn't make them fresh fresh I've known a few people that worked in the kitchen at timmies , kinda nice thing with small towns you sometimes get stuff fresh made that day by hand, with big cities it's different they need everything ready on the spot no time for wait... but you get what you pay for though.. if your in a hurry you get a product that was slapped together in a hurry....

How can you say they did not make them fresh? 11pm to 5am was the bake. Then from about 4am to 7am was finishing. Every day.

Muffins are made throughout the day from a powdered mix, as are cookies. Bagels come in frozen and are baked in the store - as are donuts now but that is only a year to 18months at most. Donuts are still finished in the store though.

It's like Pizza Hut - people say they prefer "hand made" pizza. Well, when I worked there we started with flour, yeast, oil, and water: made the dough from scratch, and then made the pizza with fresh toppings. Sounds handmade to me
I could be wrong then, but all people I know that worked there was mostly just baking time not alot of prep like making from sratch so maybe out there they made them 100% fressh lol then ur lucky here they got brought in like pre-made dough sorta then just thrown in an oven then the icy thrown on top that was about it....there new freezer donuts suck now...Small Bakery's are almost always better, they don't taste like the average mass produced items, I.e Home made lasagna vs store bought lasagna is how I would compare Tim Hortons vs the small town shop donuts where I lived....

Yeah almost all pizza places here dough is brought in never made fresh on the spot or in the back... unless it's a specialty pizza shop pizza hut is so greasy... why to do they put a layer of oil or whatever on there pizzas?

I can't wait till the Edmonton one opens, or Camrose. I got to taste some old gas station ones in North Dakota, wasn't too impressed. But at the shops it's as fresh as it can get, and Tim Hortons now makes thier d-nuts out in Ontario. Yes I did say D-Nuts!

Bake me a pie bitch.

Tim Hortons donuts still cannot compare to ones made at a local bakery.
