Its 1:30am, Im going on an over night ice fishing trip in 7 hours and I was washing my big sleeping bag....when it happened..... i knew it might but i never though it could be me.

Magic smoke.....from the washing machine!!! Oh god its morphed and found a way to cripple house hold appliances, my wife is sound asleep and I dont know if I should tell her tomorrow morning or bail all the water out of the washer and put it back together and have her think she did it.

Oh man......Im dead.....

YEAH MAN...DEAD SERIOUS!!

Im searching google like a mad man trying to find a user manual to seeif maybe the motor just went into a thermal protection or something.

**Update@ 2:15am**
So it says the motor will shut off until it reaches a safe operating temp so hopefully tomorrow morning it will work.

blue smoke is usually a bad thing, not always terminal but always entertaining.

I am sure you didnt overload HER washer...

On the plus side it's a good argument for future reference that dishes/laundry/stove should only be operated by HER!

Ahhhhh the motor just went into a thermal protect, and I dont blame it. That sleeping bag wet was about 150lbs, but its working good as new and I managed to put the sleeping bag through 3 spin cycles to get the water out of it and now I have a 90min wait for it to dry then Im off ice fishing until Saturday
