Ok here is the deal I'm looking to head to school this sept and I need wheels to do so and I figure I have two options

Rebuild my Mazda RX-7 back to daily driver status....here is the list I have thought of

Springs (they are sagging to the point I can't jack the car up anymore plus 18 years old)
Struts (they are 18 years old enough said)
Clutch (I was told the car has it's originally clutch still and the car has 314,xxx km on it)
Transmission (well it wouldn't hurt I figure)
Engine (I think my old is has blown a coolant seal [means rebuild] from it overheating
Exhaust (it's 18 and is very rust and already had the muffler wield back on for a temp fix)
Catalytic converter (I figure replace because of the shape of the exhaust)
Body work/pant (she has some rust and need a new pant job)
Power steering (well I’m going to swap it to manual steering because I don’t want to pay $800 for a power steering line)
Temp gauge (so it doesn't overheat again....and the stock one broke before right I put it away for winter)

Total cost: no clue but allot

My other option is to get another car to get me through and rebuild my rx-7 as a hobby

Get another car my friend. Those repairs sound much more expensive.

I think you might be able to buy a new rx-8 for the cost of those repairs

#2 option. Building a hobby car leans towards a more expensive hobby and more garage time then you can expect
