Or boycott 'em.
I haven't watched a professional sports game in over 3 years (except pro soccer). I have no use for vicarious sports living.

True enough, the owners made the system -- now they are complaining about it. I have to wonder about their perceived "right" to make a profit -- even when they do a poor job running their businesses. What about the fact that the teams they purchased rise in value? I used to blame the players, now I blame Bettman and the idiot owners who hired him -- compare the game now and before Bettman was hired -- is the game better or worse? Coincidence? Everyone wants to know how to fix "what is wrong with the game" -- I propose a simple solution... fire Bettman and put Gretzky in charge.

With the exception of the last few Flames stanley cup cup games,I have watched a game in a couple years...

Weather you watch it on Tv or pay good hard earned money, all you get to see is a few minutes of good clean hockey then a 20 min brawl because one player accidently bumped into another...

I'm sorry but if I wanted to see fights,I would watch boxing or wrestling....

And I still think, managers choice or not, that they are being payed WWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYY too much!!

I watched some telecast (whatever its called) last night on one of the sports channels I think it was Sportsnet, where someone important to the NHL (not exactly sure what he was but he seemed to know al ot about the decisions) and they were taking questions and ideas on what people think of this and what can be done and such. And some kid stood up and said its our fault for having so many teams, if we just took away some teams it would all be ok. wtf the guy completely shot him down and made him look stupid lol You can't just take away a team, they already did in the past with several other teams and thats definately not the problem at hand.

Yes the owners did agree to pay the players so really its their fault.

I blame baseball. If you were a pro athlete and other pro athletes where earning massive amounts of money, you might believe that you deserved that much to play a "GAME"! (game=fun?)
Has anyone seen the Nike commercial where the ice is melting, and at the end, all it says is 'bring it back'? Damn near brought a tear to my eye. I'm getting verclempt, twalk amongst yourselves...
