^ that depends on what your truck is worth..... if its worth $20K+, $4K of repair is not bad. but if its worth 7K or less.. i would try to sell it asap. even with the time invested in the stereo.... unless its sounding unbelievable awesome in both seat.

$4000 in repairs on a vehicle i would get a used one , because that would save you alot of time in the long run, but if you love your vehicle then its totaly worth it , like the old saying goes you take care of it then the car takes care of you.

Reliability for both import and domestic now a days are pretty much the same. Of course when you work at a toyota, youll say imports are better, just like if you got a new job at GM the next day, you would say domestics are just as good if not better.

I have worked for GM for 6+ years, and at a garage where I worked on everything for 8 years, among other shops. I have owned more vehicles than you could shake a stick at, and so I reiterate my previous statement....

IMPORTS RULE....... Domestics drool.

If I were to even think about buying a domestic, it would be a chrysler product based on the fact that Daimler has taken over and as a result, a much better
product has emerged, GM second and Ford, well, I would never a ford.

I've got a 91 Z24 3.1 but it's in the shop right now with no compression. Hope to have it on the road soon for my kid to drive and for an SPL car, then I have 2 cars in the comps, 1 SQ and 1 SPL.

if your transfer case is nfg i'm going to see if i can get it fixed but if the cost is to high would you go with a used unit at 1k = shop time or a new one at 2k + shop time
