tips for a muffler
Um, I will have to disagree somewhat with the "different tip won't alter sound" point being made.
I had a 3" diameter SS tip about 6" long for some time on my Omni, and after having it cut off I noticed it sounded less deep and loud. It was noticeable.

just go to CT or any auto parts shop and buy the replacement muffler for that truck. Probably the cheapest route unless you buy a 35 dollar glass pack, but you said no noise
then just put a nice looking stainless tip on it, it won't make it noticably louder as the muffler will be pretty quiet

Another reasoning behind why a tip can change the sound: Think about most fartcan mufflers nowadays. Why would they make silencers for them? To make the muffler look tame?
By restricting the size of the inside diameter of the tip, you are going to change the effect of the sound. Then again, if you get one of those ricey tips that's just a chrome shell surrounding a piece of steel likely no bigger than the outlet size of the muffler, then a change may be negligable...You wouldn't want my two cents on those pieces, because you wouldn't like it.
