Totem Acoustics at A&B Sound?!?
I have the Mani-II's and a set of Model 1's. I love their bookshelves. Great imaging, and I do love to buy Canadian...
A&B in Vancouver's been carrying a lot of high end stuff for some time. Their Seymore location downtown's been carrying the high end Celeste (can't remember the name) for some time. They work amazing with the Totems. I run Classe with 'em and it's good but I'd love to have the Celeste's mono's.

You can run them bridged mono if you wanted to...but they put out 750 watts then...
I imagine the Classe is no slouch, though.

what kinda price tag does that stuff have?
Well...the Moon W-5 is a dual mono amp that's 190Wpc @8 ohms and I think it was about $5,000-6,000...then the big brother to that one is the Moon W-10 which is a true mono amp that puts out 750 watts @ 8 ohms, 1400 @ 4 ohms and 2200 @ 2 ohms. I can't remember for sure, but I think they go for close to $15,000 for the pair.

From what I have been able to dig up talking with the local rep: "They want to mass market their speakers. They were not making enough money selling them at higher end audio shops because they couldn't sell the volume." At least these shops had good equipment to drive them. I just can't see a $400 Yamaha or Marantz receiver driving a $4000 set of these speakers, or for that matter someone spending that much more on speakers.
Bad move for Totem.

AE is Acoustic Energy, one of my favorite speaker companies. I beleive that the Listen Inn (affiliated with Stay Tuned in Lethbridge) had some Moon stuff on Demo, didn't get to hear it. Creek is my favorite amp right now, but I would have to say Proceed for theater.
