Totem Acoustics at A&B Sound?!?

And as far as long hours in engineering, if the drivers are standard OEM offerings then all you have to play with is the box and the passive xover and really, while not everyone can do it, it ain't all that hard.
I frequent a lot of european speaker making boards and it is kind of funny how in North America if you get a guy who takes a bunch of drives and makes his own system most people will consider him a cheapass looking to hack a system together but in Europe he would be looked at as a true audiophile searching for the perfect sound for him - something he cannot buy.
Perspective I guess.

It's not necesarily a preference if thats all they are offered. Yes, 70% of all speaker sold are in black. DOn't get forget to mention that 80% of speakers marketed are black. Yes, it's not that hard to build a cabinet and stuff some drivers in it, hell, anything can be done if you have the time. But Totem has already done it, and well, so they shouldn't be slagged for building a very nice speaker. If you think you can build your own, do it, but don't disillusion people into thinking every Joe Schmo can build a speaker as nice as they have. If that was the case they wouldn't be in business and either would you.

I believe I said: "...really, while not everyone can do it, it ain't all that hard..."
And how would I be out of business? I don't regularly build speakers, no do I often sell them. I install them on occasion but more as a paid hobby.
I like to purchase value and I guess I am having a hard time seeing it in their line.
