hmmm scary stuff...
in the early 1400's (I belive) a economist predicted that the worlds population would exceed the amount of food we could grow within 200 years.
And By all accounts he was right.
One thing he did not factor in...in those 200 years we increased our farming effiencies and grew more food/person/acre.
Unless we can change and find better sources of energy, or more effiect usage of what we have --- we are doomed! Fun stuff
{all figures and dates are taken from my fledging brain cells...and may not be totally acurate)

Ehhh it is interesting. But I am willing to bet that we will find some sort of alternative when oil runs really low. We are a very smart species that have done incredible things. I don't think we are just going to roll over and die if oil becomes short.

Heavy on hyperbolae, light on data, the links are all 'selling something' that is they have a point of view and they are making it with persuasive argument rather than scientific evidence.
My point, the articles hold no scientific value (perhaps some statistical value...) BUT they make their point. There are so many good arguments for energy conservation NOW and I am afraid we are too weak willed to execute them. The problem is the articles in question are crying “wolf” with the same experts who cried “wolf” in the 70’s. Sooner or later they will be correct and we, the general public, will be desensitized to their message.
