Gas prices are very weird here in the west coast. Mission, which is just north of Abbotsford - across the Fraser River, had gas prices at around the 60 to 65 cent per litre mark for at least a month. Right after that, Abbotsford had their turn of low prices for about a month. Last week a local Global TV station did a story on how much cheaper gas prices were in Abbotsford. Next day, the gas prices in Abbotsford went up to 98 cents. Same as the prices in the rest of the Lower Mainland. All points east of Langley are not part of the GVRD (Greater Vancouver Regional District), which means places like Abbotsford do not pay extra taxes for the government regulated transit authority. My point is, there is no rhyme or reason to the setting of gas prices. In Abbotsford, gas prices are 10 cents more in the morning and cheaper as the day progresses - every day. Right now Abbotsford is back to being 88 cents per litre - 83 cents after instant rebate - Superstore. Whereas, Vancouver is at $1.05.

Are the gas companies dumping gas in certain regions to keep prices higher overall? I'm not complaining, as I work in Abbotsford. Just doesn't seem right.

During the working day today, I drove from Mississauga, thru Oakville and Milton, up to Mount Forest, and back to Concord. Gas prices ranged from 78.5 to 92.9 per litre in those locations. And the people who run the gas companies wonder why consumers trust them less than the Federal Liberal Party?....

And if you think your gas bills are ugly, try dropping almost $100 a day in fuel for work....some days I wonder if I'm really working for Esso or me....
