Will you be working out of Converges or whatever that call center is? Our stream site does the Dell support in Belleville.

I dont think its called Convergys for Dell Chizzer. I got a few friends that work at the Convergys here in Red Deer and Edmonton, and as far as they know its a different company. But I could definately be wrong afterall Convergys is a huuuuuge call center for many different things.

naw...dell is opening up a place in edmonton....workin outta teh telus building for about a year till they build their own building - probably in south edmonton common, which would be a jaunt and a half for me....but better for parking than downtown!

Thats kewl then, is it for american or canadian support? So least it's not contracted like we are it sucks and we get screwd $$ wise big time. We are under paid by like 2-3$/hour compared to all other centers here in london, and even the same Place I work for in other provinces, we start at 10$/hour other stream location are like 12$/hour and up.

I used to do tech support for Dell Canada, fun job I might say.

ChizzerZ24.. our OEM contracts start at $10.50hr / .25 Raise every 4 the first year, then a raise each year / and its Dell Canada thats going to Edmonton / Rel Que to be exact. And its $14.50/hour to start.

It will be a super easy Job for ya.. you will only be dealing with Dell's larger clients such as Telus/Nortel/School Boards/Cities etc etc.

It litteraly is "Thank you for Calling Dell Corporate Support, My Name is ___________, How may i help you today". Then you will get some IT personal on the other line saying Hi, im _________ from _____________ and i have 6 Clicking hard drives / 3 faulty Monitors / 4 keyboards / 2 Mice and a power supply to replace. You will generate a service order for each using Dells own web based software and give what they call a Dell Part Service number for each dispatch and send them on there way.

During training you will be taught how to use dell's internal tools for trouble shooting,, you will be told it is best to troubleshoot, and in the same sentence you will be told that dell's Relationship que customers get what they want regardless of troubleshooting.

sounds about right, but i'll just correct ya that it's $13.50 to start

other than that...sounds like just about any call center job.

Rockeny have you seen the new Video from the CEO Toni Pottman or whatever her name is? Stupid video about 26 min long just her saying how the sites are doing and ****, the lady is mental she can't prounounce names the guy here who's went 850 days without absence is Manhar, she called him mahr lol... I'd rather work for Dell least they offer employee programs Hp offers nothing even though Ross said he was going to nothin's been done about it yet.

Convergys...There are 2 in edmonton and 1 in Lethbridge. Tech support for dell...lol. All of the americans call dell and they get a center in India!

I hear Dell and microsoft call centers are fairly good jobs, BUT AVOID CONVERGYS AT ANY COST!!
The job has decent starting...10.00$/hr but the whole company is filled with stupid policies and Jerk off supervisors.
