Hey guys who knows cell phones?
I got a 3 year deal with rogers last DEC and yesterday I dropped my phone and blew it up. I was looking at craigslist and locally there are 100s of phones for sale but whats the deal, some say they are locked and some say they are unlocked? I assume if its unlocked its good but what if its locked to rogers can I just load in my sim card and go or will it need to be unlocked first? TIA

 

Well if it says UNLOCKED that means it will work with your phone NO PROBLEMS just pop in SIM and go.

If it says LOCKED to ROGERS it will ALSO work just like an UNLOCKED one.

HOWEVER if it says LOCKED and then is a FIDO or any non-rogers provider it will not work. Then that phone will need to be unlocked to work.

Either way LOCKED ROGERS or UNLOCKED will work! Test before buying any used phones though!
