But, i guess the site is good enough for you to do business on but not good enough to contribute too right?
Anyhow, go re-read this if you haven't already.

Focus on the bolded part that says this
"Canada and the lack of vendor support"
Then add up 2 and 2 and you come up with other means of keeping the site alive.

I just thought that he got banned because of mentioning AB, I did not see the other posts. However I personnaly think that having all the Ebay ads on here in NOT good for the local guys. But like you said its about personal preference.

I would also like to add, that this has always been a CANADIAN site with CANADIAN vendors, where local shops and local consumers can talk to each other. Now its ALL ABOUT EBAY......... When will it end, I have people coming into my shop everyday telling me I can get that on EBAY for less......I dont need those kind of PM's and Emails coming to me aswell if we become a vendor. Not sure how the other shops feel, but this is my point of view.

Only local guys I care about are the ones that are authorized vendors.
I don't have time to make all the other shops my problem.

John, it's old news.

You didn't want to become an official vendor last year after getting nipped for doing commercial sales while not being authorized.
This is generally the case with 9/10 shops that we bust on here.
In the end, we ban the user, censor the url of the shop when they cant "obey" the rules.

You know what, i don't think you, or the those other shops who refuse to follow the rules care about the overhead involved with running this site, licensing or server costs. They care about putting money in their pockets at the expense of CanadianCarAudio.

Don't get it confused here John. I am here for the authorized vendors, and i will support them, however, i am also a consumer. My interest is in the users getting proper information, good deals and great service whether that is from some of the great shops that support the site or from ebay.

If that means this site only pushes ebay because ebay supports the site that caters to the niche, so be it. You like every other shop in Canada has an opportunity to make a difference, but you choose not to. Oh well.

You don’t want to be a vendor, don’t be a vendor. Don’t act like you’re or have been doing something for the site. You have 72 posts and within those 72 you managed to get busted for commercial sales.
You don’t want emails or pm’s of people talking about ebay, well, close ebay. You think its going away ?
News. The age and demographic of users here on the site = they know about ebay. Please, try not to make it sound like CCA broke some boarded and introduced people to ebay. LOL

By the way, when you become a vendor, you’re paying for the right to do commercial sales on the site, be a part of promotions, and getting a banner in rotation. That’s it.


As for Nick.

I didn't ban Nick.
But i got to be honest, even though i personally like Nick and have met him more than a few times, if Nick or Richard are going to cause problems, they can both go. No skin off my back.
My loyalties are with the site, the staff and the authorized vendors. Not the spammers and haters.


John, point is, you're not a vendor here. So really, your view is moot in my eyes. The vendors have their own private section to discuss this. You want to be involved, pay the vendor fees and gripe (not that it will make a difference in 2008).
And remember, doing business on the site while not being authorized will get you punted.

If you have anything to add, send it via pm or post it in the void. Nick is banned, if the person who banned him wants him back, then so be it.

Jordy and Rick are being pretty nice about the flack for it too IMO.

It's just a temp ban so he'll be back. In fact I only meant to warn him but that ONE point I added somehow got him over the 3 point limit so not like he's been clean..

Why? I didn't like his continual bashing of Richard in the Pretty Decals thread. Fair? Probably not. Do I give a damn? Nope. See, I don't have to be fair. If I don't like something I'll do what I want with it. Don't like it? Too ****ing bad.
