Women, are they worth it? Who knows.

no wonder I posted that the way I get treated every single day...

I still think the women have it better off.....
I'm still proud of you for being there for your son even after all thats happened man. Don't ever forget that. It takes a lot to step up and support the child versus just walking away like so many others these days tend to do unfortunately.

You can think that women are much better off but trust me we are not.... there may be equlaity and more rights for women, but have you ever noticed that when a women does the same thing as a man,( ie. working in a male dominated job, just having sex with people she is not in a realtionship with) she is called names, or labeled as something that she is not.

Women are not better off then men nor are they worst off, they are treated the way that they are treated because of the people that they are. Its the way you act and what you do that makes you better off. Those that you think are "better off" are that way because they make themselves better, you have to remeber that your destiny is not by chance it by choice.

My point is this. I see no reason why women should not be treated equally in this day and age.... but throwing policy way out into left field to artifically make things equal only serves to undermine all the checks and balances a man and women are supposed to follow...

what happens.. the whole system falls apart and you end up with a 50% divorce rate and more single mothers who can't support themselves then ever... this arguably leads to more troubled children who turn into Fd up adults who raise even more troubled children...

specifically I was pointing out how messed up familly law can be... which I don't think anyone except her lawyer would argue....

Tell her to go to the gym, stay busy and occupy herself so she doesn’t take it out on you.

If she gives you any fuss, give her Prolifiks #

To quote possibly the best movie quote I've heard (from As Good as it Gets):

Woman: "How do you write women so well?"

Melvin: "It's easy. First, I think of a man. Then I take away reason, and accountability."

Not that I'm an expert on relationships by any means (I've only been with one woman - dated for 5 yrs, married for 1 1/2), but I think accountability plays a huge role, both for the man and woman. How many times have you tried to argue with a woman that will just not back down, even if you're 100% sure that you're right and she's wrong? My mother was, and still is like that. I've spent over an hour debating something with my wife, and when she finally admits that I'm right (which isn't often, mind you...), suddenly I'm a gerk for being right, and now I'm left with a guilt trip. Normally I don't even bother getting into it with her, because I know it's a waste of time, but sometimes I get suckered in anyhow.

But honestly... A lot of people have issues with backing down, admitting to being wrong and even apologizing when they are wrong. Even I do this, sometimes without even noticing it. I think maybe if we could all just swallow our foolish pride once in a while and realize that it's not always about being "right," then maybe we'd let our guards down more often and focus more on the core issues that are affecting the relationship. Marriage is not a war, it's more like an infant. It needs constant attention and nurturing to grow, and most important of all, love.

Heh, nice crack...

Oh they're still here in my possession, but zip-tied and slightly re-arranged. My apologies if that sounded like something from an episode of the Care Bears, but i speak the truth. Maybe someday you'll understand what marriage is all about, but until then I guess you can go have fun with your many "girls that are friends."
