Eddie Van Halen really should be on my list. The boys from Iron Maiden do nothing too speacial, but they are so awesome. 3 guys on guitar in the Rock In rio DVD. It just plain rocks. Iomi plays nothing too hard, but at the time no one else was, I have at least one friend who's been playing for 6 years, and taken guitar in college and he could kill toni, easy.

 

Iron Maiden was much better before Smith left. after that, they weren't as good, i wasn't as impressed with the new guitarist.

And yes, eddie should be on your list.

 

I think Page is totally underrated as a musican... The stuff he did with zep was, and still is impressive. Very versitile as well. Like listen to a song like 'over the hills and far away' with his progressive fingerpicking, then check out his soloing in a song like dazed & confused - to the max, full overdrive to the wall. Totally different styles of playing! Then he gets into it with the bow...and somehow makes his Les Paul sing!
Zeps live stuff is just unreal too!
