Sub stopped working

So basically on Sunday or Monday I ran all my wires for my amp and sub. I installed it tested it and it worked. I used it to go from Hamilton - Oakville and it worked fine. I used it tuesday and today. Anyways, on the way home from work (Oakville -> Hamilton). I noticed the song wasnt really bassy so i changed it and none of them were. So I got home, popped my trunk and nothing. Sub wasnt even moving. Not sure what happened.

Battery is fresh (less than a month old). Im running 8 awg wire with a 50 fuse i think it is?

Amp has power (theres a light on the side that lights up; wont light up until the remote on wire is connected. Not sure if that makes a difference).

Remote wire seems to be working (see above).

Ive checked that the rca looking cables are plugged in from the deck to the sub and they are.

Ive also changed the speaker wire and put new.

None of this is working. I have a Rockford Fostgate Amp (600w), and a kicker sub. Amp is mounted to bassworx sub box.

Do you think the bass from the sub knocked something in the amp that puts the music from the amp to the sub? Anybody live between hamilton to Oakville that would / could look at it for me?

easiest solution is connection between speaker terminal on box and speaker are open.

1.. you could check for resistance with a meter on speaker box terminals

2.. if you dont have meter you could check with 1.5v battery on speaker terminals and look for cone movement.

3.. unbolt subwoofer and check speaker wires

4.. or hook sub up to know working source.

If I unscrew the sub am I going to have to silicone it closed or anything or just screw it back in?

Also when I check it with the volt meter what do I set it to? And I just connect it to what? The speaker +- on the amp or what?

remove speaker wires from the speaker terminals on the outside of the subwoofer box
Set meter to resistance/ohm setting
check for resistance on the speaker terminals of the outside of the box where you unhooked the speaker wires.
the number on the meter should change from the 0 to the resistance close to the speaker slightly under 4 ohms if you have a 4 ohm subwoofer.

It seems like it is the amp cutting out moreso but the power to it stays on. I've changed the wiring from the sub to the box twice and from the box to the amp twice. There is power but seems when the sub pounds it cuts the amp out or something. I ended up getting pissed and tapping on the amp with the screwdriver a d it would turn on for a few pumps then go off. Anyways is it fixable? Or do I have to buy new
