help a noob build a box?
Need help...
I'm beginning construction of my box this weekend.
I'll be running 2 9500mtx's 10". everywhere i read it says 1.25cubic feet for sealed box. and thats what im looking into a sealed box, but i dont care if its ported...
Can someone help me out here please? cus im banging my head into a wall here because it looks like if i build a box i'm going to well mess it up real bad!!
also i listen to all rap and hip hop and some techno here n there... so if that could be taken into consideration as well...
I want to build the box my self for the exp. However if someone wants to help me design the box to the correct specs i am willing to trow a few dollars their way if their local( i dont got paypal or anything :[ )

1.25 cubes sealed is reasonable for 9500's.
With those subs you want a double thick face on the front, they are heavy bastards. T-nuts are preferable to screws as well.
Ported, I would just build the recommended box out of the manual. It's pretty good. I ran one in about 3.5 cubes tuned to around 33hz and it was mental tho. No idea if you want to give up 7 cubes out of your trunk.
If you have the coin, and aren't really into building an advanced box, the MTX sledgehammer box for those subs is really nice for a prefab.
I'm in Langley. I don't really have the time to help you with the actual building, but if you just want me to check your volume calculations and such let me know.

I was in the same boat as you with 1 mtx mzs1004. I like alot of hip hop and rap, with some trance on the side, so i built a sealed box to manufacturing specs (was concerned about trunk space as I use my trunk everyday). It was pretty good with the trance but sucked *** with any hip hop or rap. I just finished my ported box today (1.7cu tuned to 34hz), so i'll get back to you on how thats sounds.
