Exclamation

I've just recently invested close to $3000.00 in new car audio equipment for my Jeep and I would like to protect that investment with a decent car alarm ASAP(2-way alarm remote would be a nice feature). I have a factory alarm but I don't think it would cut the mustard.

I don't want a remote starter/alarm combo, just the alarm. I live in Toronto - any recommendations???

So you put this in the stolen section as sort of a foreshadowing thing?

Cool

I picked up my alarm today its being installed next week. Thanks for the private emails! Sorry if I offended anyone by posting in this section - blame it on the "newbie" status I guess...

Cool

I gotta Clifford man! Nahhh actually its some brand called "Auto Page" - model #RF-520. I'm getting it installed next Tuesday. It seemed like a pretty good unit - it didnt have the remote starter so that saved me some bucks (which was fine 'cause I didnt want that feature anyways!). I'll let you know what I think of it next week...

Well, to make a long story short - the Auto Page model didnt work out (they couldnt install it in my Jeep - got a full refund). I then went to a different local install shop, got a CompuSTAR "Arctic Start" installed (today) - looks good. I'm happy.
