What kind of connector is this on my Dcon subs?

Ive had these Dcon 10" subs sitting in my room for almost 3 years now, so ive got no idea what kind of connectors these require. Can anyone tell me what kind of plugs I need to get? Also, this may be a silly question, but to wire up subs to my amp, do I just use regular speaker wire, or do I need a heavier gauge wire?

12 gauge speaker wire will be more than enough. You could probably get away with 14 or even 16 if you wanted.

As for the connection, press the terminal down, and shove bare wire through the hole.

Electrical wire from places like Home Depot are designed for high voltage, lower current pplications; home electrical wiring. they use a few lareg strands of copper.
Speaker wire uses many, many fine strands of wire as the majority of music passes through the "skin" of wire, so the more strnads the better. As well, thick strands of copper can break in the car environment as they were not designed for the vibration, banging and bumps.

If you really feel like spending money you don't have to - banana plugs fit into those terminals as well.
