Double point db drag Edmonton.
wasnt it also claimed that 2 sundowns strapped was louder than 1 memphis 4kw? That sounds interesting considering I think the 4kw can hang with the z1 as long as you dont load it down really far or run 4 of them on 1 batt.
We should really rally the troops here in E-town and devote an afternoon or evening to some amplifier head-to-head trials... assuming you're up for it Mr. Silverbane, since you'd have to bring the gear that will be stacked up against all else. We could measure whatever amps are brought on the TL and via DMM/ammeter.

1.7 dB's on a straight swap is not as impressive as you make it seem.

it'll put an end to the bull$hit....lets compare them to an amplifier they say is in the same class, and wether or not it blows up wii determine if it's the bulletproof design as claimed.

I am willing to put up a pair to fair testing. Will have to be after comp, but Ill bring them.
Is it beyond the scope of reason that there is more to an amplifier than the SPL numbers it puts up? The Z1 is a purpose built SPL amplifiers, and it does that nicely, sure. Try to get DD to fix a first generation Z1, then tell me how happy you are with it. These dB Drag limited electrical cars are also not in any way indicative of what an amp with proper electrical support can do either, and you all know it -- or I hope you do anyway. Look at the US Amps 4000X... burp machine written all over it, does that make it do more daily power than comparable amps? You tell me.
The 1500D does what the test results have shown what it will do. I can repeat them, and others have repeated them. Whether this translates to SPL numbers in your 1 battery Street-A car is really irrelevant to most people looking at an amplifier. DB Drag isn't life for most car audio customers. For that matter, I DO have guys running limited electrical classes with the SAZ amps doing good numbers -- the same setup doesn't work for everyone so results may vary.
It seems relatively useless to argue on this forum. I've posted results with the SAZ amps before and they were ignored for being from other circuits than dB Drag. dB Drag isn't the only game in town for SPL competition. I have several competitors in the mid to high 150s, pretty good if you ask me especially since I don't market these at the SPL competition scene -- people have picked them up for this use because they like the results.
Will the SAZ amps do more power than anything on the market? I've never said that, and I won't. I will say that the test results posted on my forum are all accurate under the circumstances with which they were tested. For instance... a quick clamp test shows around 2,200 watts from the SAZ-1500D @ 0.6 ohms DCR.

At the Realm of Excursion "Great 12 inch challenge" we saw as much as 2,500 watts on a more robust electrical setup. These are all running the amps under 1 ohm and without regards to distortion. You can easily compare such figures with your own amps, though, since many enthusiasts have a clamp and a DMM.

The clamp and DMM pics you see are for one pair of 1500Ds, we had a total of four on an FI Audio BTL for the testing. Around 15 or so reputable forum members were in attendance to see that number, so feel free to discredit all of them if you like.
Anyhow... if Brad can make it to meet up with you guys I think you will see that the amps do what they claim. Whether it beats a Z1 in every Street-A car out there, I have no idea, nor do I really care since dB Drag is not what my equipment is made for -- it's made for actual listening, just so happens the amps have been adopted by some for competition since they do work pretty well for that too.
Grab a clamp and a DMM... you should pretty easily be able to replicate the numbers from my video. I did that with a 50-amp power supply, a Kinetik 2400, and a Duralast 1000 CA battery on a pair of SI Mags @ 0.6 DCR (1.08 actual). So... find a comparable setup and try it out.

Feel free to ask him about it if you like... he goes by "ibanender" on the forums. Mostly frequenting the SPLBassX.com forum.
