Yes Yuli .... it was your birthday bash, I remember it clearly. It was the show with the biggest turn out of 2005. It was fun and fun for everyone. That show was given to you free by Moe... a birthday gift I suppose. He even had to hear it for doing that but he didn't let that bother him. WF04 ... we were all shocked that you drove that far but especially that you did it without getting lost. I know that you have supported IASCA in the past.

Ontario -- IASCA considers it more than the GTA. Organizations look to have involvement with other organizations. They want to see more than sound. Last year IASCA hooked up with CSCS ( Canadian Sport Compact Series) and put shows on at Cayuga and in Quebec. IASCA was hired in order to do shows out of the GTA. NOTB was another. There are shops all over Ontario whether its the hicks, the stix, cornfields whatever. They prefer shows in conjuction with car shows, truck shows, tractor pulls, cow tippin, whatever brings the crowd to get new people interested. DB Drag would rather see it that way too.

A certain person from the GTA inquired about having IASCA events this year. He was given the info on what it takes to do it and he hasnt responded. It would cost less than a db drag event. If he decided not to charge for admission, that would be his choice. It just goes to show that there is no IDBL support in the GTA.

As I said before... this thread said.... IASCA ... Anybody interested? Those who aren't should have went to the next thread.

Unfortunately the shops who support IASCA are outside of the GTA and that is why I said that you have to leave your backyard. Unless you are planning another Birthday Bash, then you can have it in your backyard...literally.
It is unfortunate that Moe left but I am sure that somebody will step up to the plate and take his place in Ontario. So many wanted to take DB Drag in Ontario, maybe one will take IASCA.

IASCA needs support from the GTA to do that... whether it is a shop or a show promoter.

Thumbs up can't we all just get along

just want to say that you all have good points I do beleave with Moe being gone IASCA has lost a bit of luster. Having some shows out in the boon docks is not a bad thing there are guys that live out in those type of areas. What I think is you guys that put on most of the shows go back and try and see where you had the better turn outs for your shows. All this arguing you guy are doing to a newbie makes it look like we vets are whiners and not friendly. IASCA dB Drag USAC they are all good orginizations in their own way what need to be done is give these newbies a fair chance at a ligit chance of wining the tools are their it how you guys that put the shows on use them also what would help to free promoting is give the next show that is known about a shout out if you all do that in the end it will help IASCA or dB Drag unless your planing to attend finals who care which it is don't think a newbie cares

iasca either needs to forget about their core competitors and cater to newbies or screw newbies and cater to the core competitors. they can actually do both with bass boxing but they put no effort to promote that.

db drag's main focus is on the hardcore guys and catering to those who work towards attending finals, not those who come to 1 or 2 shows a year and hit 135. for those guys there is bass race and they did a VERY good job promoting that. last finals bass race was crazy and all the newbs in it were happy as hell that they got to 'go to finals!!!!'

We are kind of in the middle ... we have 4 provinces to the east of us and 4 provinces to the west.

i jump to Pro Stock 1 this year. I did this so that some of the newbies can come out and play. They feel bad when they see a Stock car roll off a trailer, so I jumped up. The only bad thing about doing this is almost every show I go to no one is in Stock Pro classes. Hell I went to SVR this year and i was the only one ins stock pro 1. Then again I think there was like 9 cars there for IASCA, Ill never go to SVR again unless i run DB drag or if Moe runs the show. This year IASCA at SVR was a Joke.
