You know what is dumb, the car we are bringing has 4 guage monster in it running these 2 amps...and my car has 1/0 running a sony 400 Watt amp and 2 RF p2's.

Brad is running a more conventional load on the amps.

At 2 ohms strapped Loyd's clamp meters showed 3150 watts @ 12.8 volts -- which is almost exactly what you would expect from two 1500 watt amplifiers rated accuratly at 12.8 volts.

Loyd did measure 4425 from the pair strapped at 1/2 ohm with 12.8 volts, aka: 1/4 ohm per amplifier. I don't suggest that... we are only able to get that stable for burps in my brother's truck as that is the load we run for SPL burps. It also tends to blow the amp internal fuses after a few runs when they heat up.

 

All I know is that that worldind guy did something like a 156 or so... He really took it to this guy in a green blazer.
