It takes more power to push lower frequencies.

Could be wrong but that looks like a tahoe or yukon, older model. GMC / Blazer hatches dont open like that. Also it looks like the interior is much larger. Nice setup though ! Burp vehicle or music ?

The enclosure i built for the show is much to tight for thease lvl 5's i was happy with how it did, But with the new enclosure ill have for creston & the next soundsgood show i will be much more satisfied with as i am having my batterys moved under my truck so i have my hole cargo area for space. I have already worked out a new enclosure & it will be much better. I am also going to use lukes advice, & get some subfloor stuff or somthing to create a gasket around the subs when i put them in to prevent leaks.

Overall still had a great time for my first show & Am lucky we made it home with only 1 bolt holding my dual bracket in considering we snapped the other 2 months ago and didnt realise thats what was causing the loose belt, lol. Now with the mechman voltage boost module my kinetiks are at 15.1v solid all the time & i dont even need to rev the vehicle anymore, Atleast not until i get my next 5k here soon.

Ahhh i am exited for the rest of the competition season ! We need more shows ! I wont be able to make this one in prince george as i am using the money instead to re-build a propper enclosure & get my battery bank switched out for 14v's and put under my truck in a custom built compartment.

higher frequencies make the equipment more efficiant for multiple reasons. lower frequencies would make more heat than cool, and move the subs slower, causing good air-pressure, but not so great on equipment. My car itselfs likes around 47 hz, but I am pretty sure I will wait till world finals again before tuning that low, if at all..

Yeah lower notes are much harder to hit IMO @ high DB's I did a 149.1 peak with young jeezy - put on the note before the extremely low one i belive that is high 30's, I am not sure the resonent frequency of the jimmy, If anybody does let me know. Also dont forget people looking for low notes, You need some mad electrical to back up those low frequencys.

I have heard tuning towards Resonent frequency, That can get you a better score. Deffinatly larger enclosures / Big ports will pump the lows out MUCH easyer than a tight restricted enclosure like the one i have now, Even though its tuned to 34hz it doesnt drop nearly as low as it should because it is just to small I belive.

Im going 181' square inch port on this new 13 cube net enclosure im building tuned to 28 hz, I cant wait to see what it can do. The 18''s really love the lows especially the lvl 5's, I dont know why but they dont like this smaller enclosure i designed for them they act very "restricted" It could be because part of the port is only around 7 inches from the bottom of the magnets. This was only my third enclosure design atleast serious one, Now I feel much more confident my next one is going to be nuts.

And yeah luke, That vehicle looked like a old tahoe or yukon thats why the enclosure looks smaller. No way you could fit 2 18''s side by side in a jimmy like that with that much port room in the middle WITHOUT going over the wheel well's, Also notice how short that is.

If that was a jimmy, Those would HAVE to be 15''s and that enclosure couldnt be more than 6-8 cubes & honestly i cant see the lvl 15 18''s liking a box that small, So i think and am almost sure thats a yukon / tahoe given how the hatch opens & the facts above & the enclosure is more like 5 feet on either side + the port displacement.

Out of everybody here, Whats your favorite way to hit #'s with low frequencys or high or do you care ?

Not trolling or trying to start any arguements just having a conversation or trying to start a debate for some fun

I would like to thank keith & Jeff & Mike, Everybody else at soundsgood for giving me my first chance to compete & really get me in love with this hobby.
Another big thanks to luke for letting everybody use his term lab & the advice he has given me, Although some of you think we got in an arguement it did not end on a sour note, Although i did not expect him to offer any help back he did, Witch i respect him for much more now.

Time to go hard & the only way is up from here, Cant wait to see you guys next time, Try to have another small show inbetween !

I hope anybody who got a chance to see the jimmy even though it is far from full potential liked it & enjoyed your demo if you ended up getting one !

-PEACE !

LOL, Valium anybody for this guy ? Its my first year, First time on the term lab & first serious enclosure ive ever built, Give me time. Atleast im still out there enjoying myself. I didnt even have my amplifiers tunned properly at all, & was operating with a belt half on a broken alternator bracket.

It seems like youve become pretty bitter. Regardless if i get blown out of the water or not, Im there to have a good time. Not harp on new competitors & eagerly await to see them get "blown out of the water" Alota you western insanity guys need to open up & be more kind to new competitors that type of attitude wont help garnish much new competition if all you are gonna do is act like you guys are the compared to people who are just starting off.
