I agree with the change to the rules for 2011, 2 batteries is just as expensive as a good cap but more effective so why buy a capacitor. Just cause i have a d3100 in my trunk right beside my amp why should i be stopped from competing against guys i would be more evenly matched to. Now i am not forced to compete against people who have been doing this for 5-10 years, who own stereo stores or are sponsored maybe giving me a better chance.

Just because someone owns a stereo store doesn't make them a threat, you've been doing this 5 years now and are always competitive. The 09' season, we had 1 Street A sponsored car, and 2010 we didn't sponsor anyone and our van and civic used the same gear for two different events, making sure that I was not competing to get trophies. The Trophies are for you guys, not my shop....I get more pride knowing that you guys figured out how to be loud with a little promting from these forums and advice out there.

anyone can go in the street stock classes provided their not in the industry and and not using a crx or panda , so any non industry member that doesnt work a shop or for a company , or is sponsord can compete in street stock , thats what i was told by jeremey weber head judge at dayton world finals

the problem comes in sponsorship...if you give someone a good deal on an xs battery, and then he competes has he been sponsored...

ya that comes into play forsure , but really theres no real way of prooving hes sponsord by dale because dale gives alot of people great deals on product , and serves all of canada as the xs power dealer

K first of all no i am not sponsored you can even ask dale, just cause i get decent pricing doesnt mean i have to be sponsored by him. I have spent atleast $5000 if not more at dales shop and sent alot of buisness his way , so i would expect i would get a little better pricing. As for the battery well that was a gift to me from my step dad, i did not buy it and it still cost alot. And there is no way i will get ne where near as loud as anyone in street b nor street a, they are allowed crx's and also as much power from one amp as they want. I am limited to a standard style car and 2000 watts rms. Its shouldnt be a big deal if i wanna compete street stock b or not anyways.

I have no financial support from anyone but my own wallet, I work hard for my money and reward myself by buying stereo equipment. I show up with team custom sticker on my car cause well CUSTOM CAR AND SOUND CRANBROOK is where its at. I have known dale now for 5 years or more and have competed in maybe 2 shows a year for the last 3 years this is going on 4 now. I have not once recieved one bit of free equipment from dale, nor have i got any equipment at his cost. Dale at CUSTOM CAR AND SOUND CRANBROOK does not sponsor me I just find him to be a good guy and would recommend anyone to go and see him if they wanna have a loud system or even just quality gear.

with all the money you've spent in gear, and the past five years of experience, you should be proud to be competing with the big boys, and not in a class that was intended for ametures.

K Bill it on start building your "systems" and i will construct mine we will see who can post the louder number. Best work hard at it cause i know I wont be, lol September 25th we will see who knows what there doing. Loudest score obviously wins.
