thanx... but for some reason I thin I will have to actually try my old box with the new sub..I just have this FEELING of being LOUDER by quite a bit now that I have also figured out that the amp needs o play at 0.5 or maybe a tax lower to produce significant power... like i posted elsewhere... my amp will produce 1600 @ 1 ohm which in my case the impedance rise is 2.47 ohm
means BAD.... now with a 0.5 ohm load it produces just under 2900 watts with an impedance rise of 1.5? ohms ...my only option is to try my last experiment... 0.3 ohms.... what will happen ?? will it go KABOOM? or will it go up? tough call... it's a MMATS d3000.1

I take it that you've tried that one? is that what you played with b4 the D3? what power difference did you test? if you tested

seems to be doin fine so far...last sub I dropped in brought it down to 0.45ohms (no output power test yet that's on monday) the last one I have to try will bring it down to 0.3ohms hopefully bring it up a 0.1 or 0.2dB

no actually a guy on termpro thats been around for a long time had them...smebysound I beleive...anyway he tested the D3 at 0.25 against eh 2000.1 at 0.25 and they were dead even...he daily drivers the 2000.1 at 0.25 with no probs so they are dead stable. What woofers are you trying just out of curiousity? for a 12 in a big box like that you should be able to get far louder than an audiobahn...hopefully you have a DD or RE MT or something like that hidden away (maybe even a SoloX would be good...something that likes the big boxes)

actually in a new SMALL box Chris's sub and my Audiobahn Immortal hit the exact same number(well Chris's sub was 0.1 more but that could be anything) I have yet to test the Immortal in my old BIGGGGG box where I originally hit 149dB with my Audiobahn AW1205q and the Mmats d300HC @1ohm (tested with Chris Cecco 1581 Watts, impedance rise 2.65ohms) the Immortal in that box hit 147.3db but testing using the same amp @ 2ohms not 0.5 , didnt want to blow it up b4 NOTB but will test sometime this week to see maybe I can get it over 150dB
