As a personnal friend Martin tried to support the Car audio scene as much as he could. He got diagnosed with a stomach cancer and the survival ratio of that type of cancer is less than 10%. His box (belly!!!!) is now almost emtpy: Got his stomach removed, part of his oesephageus, intestine and a few other thins here and there, not to mention over 135 pounds lost in the process.. He never gave up. And he's a true inspiration. My personnal guess is that he remained alive to finish the Extreme Astro he got in his garage, that beast kept him alive. Screw death, i have am Astro to finish. He got it out only once this year, doing a 159.x dB, but for a person whom the doctors tought that he had a one way ticket with the Grand Maker, well they are now speechless. If no one ever met Martin, he's a dedicated guy, and for what he went thru, he deserve that award.

You guys are 100% right though. His love and dedication to the sport while facing his own mortality is amazing to say the least.
