Viper 211 hv keyless is installed on my 2010 Ford crown victoria police interceptor. I can unlock my doors with remote but I cannot lock them with remote while the ignition is "on" or started. I can lock the doors with power lock button on door.

I assume this is on the viper end and not the cars system, because it will lock when i push the factory button manually.

Any suggestions for a workaround?? My vehicle needs to idle during work for obvious reasons.

Does it lock otherwise? Viper units have an ignition input (to know when the car is on). It probably isn't allowing you to lock it because it knows the car is on (safety feature).
