6X9 questions

Hi there, I'm planning to by a couple of 6X9 speakers and am wondering if I got speakers which were 4 way with a max power handling of 400watts each, would I be able to run it off the deck at 50watts per speaker? would it sound bad? Is 4 way too many "ways" for the amount of wattage the deck puts out? thanks! here are the speakers i'm lookin at

The number of ways in a speaker has nothing to do with how it sounds. The wattage rating (highly exaggerated in the one you have linked to) also has nothing to do with how loud they will go. Any speaker like a 6x9" will work fine with the power from a cd player. Personally you are wasting your money on flea market speakers that will cost a boatload to have shipped to you from some online guy in the US. The shipping and importing duties is probably going to be twice to three times what the cost of those speakers are.

I second that. Don't buy from Ebay.... Rob (MR2NR) will hook you up. I realize the ebay speakers look cheap (and are) on line but all the other crap to actually get them to your house just ain't worth it. Buy local man, saves a boat load of troubles.

What happens when you get them and there's a big hole in them, there fried, don't work right, nobody will waranty or take them back. Atleast if you buy locally you know you'll have someone you can talk to...and support a waranty claim.
