check the fuse behind the deck, in your fuse panel and as well as the fuse box under the hood. had a 97 gtp that did the same thing..

Yea i got it thanks a bunch anyway it was the fuse..lmao see i didnt know ( i dont know much about cars to begin with) that my car had 2 sets of fuses..i know a bit about audio like how to hook it up thats about it no idea about anything else lol..so i thought there was ever only 1 fuse box (dont have a car manual) so i thought the only one was under my hood..but turns out there was another on the floor kinda on passenger side...lmao so thats what i thought too was a fuse so when i didnt see anything wrong with the 1 fuse box i figured it wasnt the problem...but i do have a new question now then if when turning it too loud blows a fuse..how could i prevent this in the future? sorry blake didnt see your reply it would've been fuse panel..but im used to it being on driver side reason i could never find it :/ and its a '96 Saturn SC-1

are you using a harness for the radio or did you hook up wire to wire? around what volume does it blow your fuse?

well depends..i have 2 now cuz i thought i broke the car deck lol too impatient when something doesnt work..uhm but on my Sony ..max is 40 and i put it above 30 a bit so around 33..34 and then it blew..the JVC i got..goes up to 50 and ive put it up to 35 and it hasnt blown..and if by harness you mean like plastic piece that plugs into stock and then you attach deck wires to that..then yes i use a harness. alos..i have 2 $180 MTX's and then 2 alpines that i had when i got the car...maybe mixing brands makes a difference?

no that don't matter, check your ground it could be hitting against the deck or any metal surrounding the deck

Be happy it's a .50 fuse that pops and protects your voice coils. If you want to twist the volume **** to nearly full gain then you need more amplifier not a collection of fuses.
