Help me get my system pounding Please!!!

Hey everyone, i have a 2000 Lexus RX300 SUV and im using the stock deck.

I have a high/low converter that is wired like so

The black and red lines that run off are positive and negative that are spliced into one of my rear speakers, and G is the optional ground (The positive and negative of the left side is looped into the right side, this was done by an audio installation professional).

I have 2 12" subs in this exact box:

The 2 subs are Alpine 12" SWE-1243
250 rms
700 peak

and the amp is Alpine MRP-M500
Per channel into 2 ohms: 500W x 1 RMS

The 2 subs are connected in parallel to make them output at 2 ohms (if thats what connecting them in parallel does when they are 4 ohms)

with this whole setup, my system barely bumps, like nothing rattles, its just soft bass and its not too loud at all. My friend has a VW jetta with the stock deck and the same high/low converter and my amp and subs are both twice as powerful and his system pounds compared to mine.
I am very dissappointed with the output, any suggestions to make this system rlly pound?

im going to guess that where ever they got the signal from doesnt play the low bass notes. alot of systems with factory amps have cross overs in them and do not let the low notes through. try a different speaker or you can look into a different high low converter that will "restore" the bass for you.

1) Dump your audio professional.
2) verify that the subs are in phase. Meaning make sure they are wired properly to the amp, + to + and - to -.
3) get the LOC rewired to each of the front speakers if you keep the LOC.
4) get a interface adaptor like the Audio Control LC6i if you want to bring the system to life.

If your vehicle has a fatory sub tap your line level into that instead of your rear speakers.
