vrdublu - I'm glad you can see the rating for what it is. Yes, I will agree that the 150x6 amp could only need a 30amp fuse. This is different than saying it will output 900watts on 30 amps.
You touch on an interesting point that many people are not aware of - the difference between, say, a 5x100 amp and a 500watt amp. A 500watt amp should be able to deliver 500watts but a 5x100 amp will rarely develop 500watts. This is huge in home theatre where people think they are buying a 500watt receiver for $199. ummm, no. Each channel may be capable of 100watts but no chance all of them will do it at the same time. Interestingly, this is also where car decks get their high power ratings these days: A burst tone at 1khz for 1ms on one channel. Yep, reality...
