New Guy with ?'s about my subs

Ok Here is the Scoop on my truck. 2004 Silverado ccsb I have a Pioneer AVH6000 head unit and Everything else is ORION. I have 6.5 P series in all 4 doors, and a set of 5.25 P series in the lower kick panels and a P series tweet in the pillar pod all ran off my Orion 800.4, behind the rear seat is a custom Fabbed Fiberglass box housing 2 12" P series sub's powered by a 1200D amp truck sounds pretty good, well it DID til I blew a sub and well these sub's are very shallow they are only 5" deep so I need to either find a set of used P12D4's or get suggestions of the BEST sub that will fit in my box. These sub's barely fit as the back of the box is grooved for the magnet to just barely fit in the box. I would LOVE to stick with Orion but realize I may have to change.

What is the BEST sub I can buy to replace these??? I want big bass as I already had!!! Peter

I'm fairly certain that these win in the "shallow mount sub" category for a number of reasons (mostly sonically): Stereo Integrity | SI BM mkIII

But there are other nice options too like JL Audio 13TW5-3 (13TW53)13.5" Single 3 ohm TW5 Thin-Line Sub
or Alpine SWR-T12 (SWRT12) 12" Single 4 ohm Type-R Subwoofer

Just double check the spec sheets for your box diameter measurements to make sure you don't need to rebuild the box.

Although Stochiastic has thrown you a bone, probably no one responded as your question is too broad. Best sub? What's the best tire for your truck? Or the best color? There is no answer. At best you are likely to get only opinions.

Thank for the reply that stereo integrity looks to be a real nice sub but who carry's them? I'd love to go with the JL but its a 13" so won't fit in my box!

And I realize it'll only be opinions but I've been out of the market for so long it'd be nice to see others feedback. Only thing I've really heard of was the RF P3 shallow but don't care for RF for personal reasoning.
Would love to find another set of these P12D4's but have had ZERO luck.

12" Subwoofers (Shallow Mount Installation: Yes, Subwoofer Size: 12") | Car Subwoofers | Car Audio | Car Audio, Video & GPS at Sonic Electronix I've always been fond of Pioneer Subs personally, great quality for the price.

Just order the Stereo Integrity subs from their website. It's the best option.

Edit: whoops, I see they've stopped selling it in preparation for the MKIV version release. Maybe just subscribe to their mailing list and sit tight for that release. I have no doubt it'll be killer when it does come. You can try to find a used MKIII but chances are that as soon as one is put up for sale, three buyers line up within ten seconds. For instance this one went up for sale two days ago but was sold the very same day
