question for all of you who have had experience with optima yellow top batteries.

just picked one up, was going to install it today and read the charging instructions. apparently it is not recommended to charge the battery at 12V only 13.8-15V. If this is true does that mean that my 12V battery charger is useless and i would then need to buy a 13.8V+ charger in order to charge the yellowtop for the first time and if i ever need to in the future?

look at the specs for your battery charger. i know when charging a battery the charger runs at at least 13.8V. Its just called a 12V battery charger, it doesnt mean it charges at 12V.

This is true, my "12v" battery charger reads up to 15V on a DMM
