Powering 3 alpine type Rs off one amp?
i have 2 swr1043d subs (10 inch 4 ohm) and 1 swr1243d sub (12 inch 4 ohm)
**all three subs are 1800w peak and 600rms (300 pre coil)
can i wire all three to a hifonics BRZ1200d monoblock amp? (1200watts)
or should i not wire the 12 in? or maybe buy another brz1200 if they can be stacked?
thanks for your help

those subs are dual 4 ohms models..therefore if you wire each sub to 8ohm (series) and all 3 in parallel (8+8+8) you'll get a final load of 2.67 ohms which is well within the amp's range of impedance it can run. However, you won't get maximum power from you amp, you'll get less than it's 2ohm rating (less than 600 watts total). It probably won't sound very good, and may even cause interferance between the 10's and 12 enough to decrease output. My suggestion is to sell the 2 10's and get another 1243d. Two 1243d wired parallel will present a 1 ohm load which will be perfect for your amp, and 2 12's in a proper box will get very loud. 4 10's will present a 2 ohm final load (8+8+8+8), so your amp will only deliver 600 watts into 4 subs (still will get very loud, but the 12's are a better set up unless you want to buy a .5 ohm stable amp that delivers 2400 watts rms or a 2 ohm amp that can do the same).
