mdf will draw moisture from the air over time, plus cool nights/winter wont help. I 've seen a few boxes swell without any direct contact and they smell

I do the enclosures as a hobby. if i could afford it, i wouldnt charge a thing to build them... so i just listen to want they want, and price it accordingly

Sounds good. I wish I had the tools and the skill to be able to do that as well. Alas im just a high school teen limited to the tools and time available in the woodshop. Ive made due with what i have though and my build is almost done.

thats where i built my first sub enclosures. all of them were sealed until i finally starting reading pages about ported enclosures. now its second nature to me.

Its a free program you can download. Its hard to learn how to use but there are forums you can go on and learn how to use it.
I'll be honest though, 80% of the time i'm using pencil and paper and the RF Box wizard to figure out cubic footage
