Thank you for the reply. I think I'll try the "T" nuts and bolts. It just seems more reliable in the long run. What is a "ton of power" btw ?

For me anything over 1K of power per sub says use the nuts.....you're near the point where sub vibration will start yanking on the screws hard enough to work them out eventually.....and yes that is a bad thing......

Very hard to impress anyone if the sub falls out while you're demo'ing it.....

haha that would be bad indeed. well I guess i'll be ok since my single sub dosen't make a ton of power. I'm looking foward for the finsihed product tomorow ! Can't wait to listen to it too ! I have a buddy who is quite into audio and he cant wait to have a listen and see how a plywood box sounds

my box is almost completed now. just finsihed the last varnish coat on the front of it. decided to go with the short port for now. with all the damping material in there , i think the extension of my port would have caused the bass to be too smooth. i'll try it out this way and see if i like it. can't wait for all the silicone and varnish to be dry! I wanna put that little 12 inch in there! now all i'm missing is an amp to power up my sub haha i'll post some pics soon.
