Yes, rounding the bend also helps, + adding a 45 angle pc of wood to that corner helps improve air flow.

Glue & screws or brad nails... As for tips on assembly.... Use a square, make the inner port & front baffle first. Then all the rest of the sides, top goes on last. Don't be afraid of the glue. Use lots and wipe it off after it's all screwed/nailed together. If your going to use screws, I ALWAYS predrill.

It might also load well if mounted from the top of the box. This is where trial comes into play.
Good luck man! Happy building!

Sorry to resurrect this post from the dead, but I finally got the system installed.

Currently ported box per the above design by DeadlySones, but I have the sealed sitting there to try later.
I am a happy camper! Sounds great so far, but it just fired this afternoon for the first time. I still have to build a rack for the amps, probably in the back corner across from the spare as there is nice metal under the carpet on the wall for a mounting point. They're screwed to a piece of plywood on the floor right now. Once I decide which box I prefer I'll cover it and the rack to match the truck and it'll look good too!
Thanks all for the help and answers.
