Then I'm assuming the set of JL XR653-CS (6.5", 4", 1" 3 way) and JL 6W3v3 for midbass should improve my SQ over the Rockfords. IMO....

My decks TA & EQ are only so good. So I'm going to have to work on processing after I get everything done speaker wise. After this project its back to a new enclosure and amp rack. I was going to do that first but like to hear my music so decided to beef up the front stage first. My 800a4 is doing a nice job, but I'm dieing to put my 800a2 back to use on some 6W3v3's.

I made the speaker rings yesterday. I'll take a couple pics when I finish them today.
Looking good buddy Keep the pics coming. LOL I think I have finally got my door build set in my head now. I'm thinking of a 3" slightly angled wooden spacer bolted to the metal in the door. Resined of course. Then cut the plastic skin around it and attach my fleece to the plastic and stretch it over the spacer. Door panel is too large to attach that much midbass to it. I am wondering why you are going with a 3 way comp set if you are going to use the JL W's for M/B? Get ahold of Jason ( Icebird88 ) ask him for a quote on the 4 & 1" HATs Those with the JL 6s would be amazing IMO. Just my $0.02. LOL

I know as BRG said it's over kill, but I've got a neat idea as to where I'm going to put them 4"ers. So far I've only found 1 set available so I might have to go another route.

The 6.5 from the set I'm thinking of setting to around 120hz or so and let them 6W3v3's get 63-120hz, then my subs 63 down.

The comp midbass in the upper pod, 6W3v3 in the lower pod. 4" in my neat little spot near the 1" tweet.

I'm hoping this will sound good. Them components are twice as much as other JL comps on the net. I had the privilege of hearing a set of these at my local shop several years ago and loved them. They destroyed everything else on the display. SQ was amazing.

Well I sanded the sides all flush and routed the outer edge round. This should be good enough for the trim rings for now. I thought I had quite a bit of fiberglass left from my last project but ya think I can find it? ... NOO!! ... So, hi ho, hi ho, off to crappy tire I go ..... lol

Well bro, I didn't make it there yet, so I'm listening if you've got somewhere I can get good material close to Windsor.

May I suggest not getting any chop mat over .75 oz. I went with something like 1.25 or so and it was a pain in the *** to get it to soak thru into the fleece without any air bubbles
