Door Panel build
Two layers of mat on the outside. (With a little sanding in between)

Two layers against the inside walls for a total of 5 layers.

A quick rough sanding before the filler.

I'm going to install them today just to hear how they sound. I'm thinking that the lack of internal volume is going to lower cone movement. Hope they still slam! It's going to be another week or so before I can finish them up, so gonna have some tuning time.
I'll post a pick of them in the door once I get them in.

That would work for the top set. I sealed the two chambers from eachother because I plan to run MB drivers down there and didn't want them to interfere with the mid. I could try it ... the whole can always be covered up again. I'll see how they sound sealed first. I'm giving them more than they are rated and when they ran in my doors had A LOT of excursion. (for cheap comps
) A little too much.

You could be right .... but the **** on my radio is worn and it jumps volume up and down when turned.
Not exactly accurate volume increments. Not to mention the pause issues. I'll give it a try ..... even if only to pause/unpause.
