Ok I got the box down to .65 (+/-) .05

Foam is drying and hopefully this cures 95% of the mudd.

The Dynamat Xorb will go in when it arrive from ups i'll have more photo once complete.

The spray foam can work IF you seal it 100% from the airspace. Foam being highly porous......well you can see that it will not eat up airspace like you hoped. Duct tape it sealed for now and retest again. If it works, throw a layer of glass over the top of it.

Lightbulb

Should have just built an all wood enclosure to spec that fit in the spare tire well.

I agree that you should just port it rather than try to dial in the sealed enclosure.

The foam has worked for the time being. The space was still too large and I'm going to change the top plate to ported from sealed. This will do until then but sealed to me sound better then ported for my music choices!

thank everyone

I'm sure they do, IMO I'm not sure for this case it would make a dramatic difference..

You had more than enough room to build an all wood enclosure for the tire well from the looks of your picture.
Ands thats exactly what I would have done and recomend you do next time round. Fiberglass is a great material to build with but it seldom does sound as good as an all wood box

Yes I was totaly aware that I could of used 3/4" MDF to do the bottom. However the driver was too deep would sit flush to the oem plate. I didn't want to raise the box more then I had to and fiberglass seemed like the right idea.

If the sound isn't up to par once everything is complete I may break the fiberglass make another bottom plate and cut out a hole where the magnet hits the box and fiberglass that area only so the box will be 97% MDF, 3% Fiberglass.
