I don't have a lot of time to get around. Visions in Prince George does good work, but it is too far for me to go atm...again no time. I have seen the work Dawson Creek does at Audiotronics and I have to say I haven't been impressed. I amtalking with someone about a box right now through email, I have also found a place I can build one. Depending on the shipping cost I will either toss it together myself and worry about carpet later, or get it shipped from down south.

I am looking at a 2.5 cube box with each sub in it's own vented enclosure. It is going to be 34" X 27" X 13.5 if I remember correctly.

Ok, I made a temporary Sealed Enclosure. As much as I would like a custom made ported one, I doub't it will fit in my trunk.

Question. I am getting a bit of a rattle from the sub. I have heard that some new subs will rattle until they have been broken in a bit. I have the gains set to the very minimum right now, and haven't turned my headunit up to crazy volumes yet.
Is this rattle normal? It is a brand new sub, and it's only one of them that is doing it. I built the enclosure to rockford specs. Lemme know your thoughts

Rob, I do want to get a custom one made. Just going to have to wait on it a bit first.

Rockfords website works, but do call them. I talkted to Steve there in tech support and he helped me get my 18's to work really well and a set of 12's that a customer of mine had.

I am more concerned about the rattle at this point. Is this normal? Have I damaged my sub? I do not let my music distort at all, and I have my amp gains turned all the way down until I break the subs in. I am using the HU 2v Subout direct to the amp.

I think it would be very difficult for me to blow the sub with the way I currently have it setup. I understand a gain is not a volume ****, but with 2V preouts I would really have to be cranking it to get full power.

Is it true new subs rattle until broken in? Or have I blown a sub already.

The glue on the orange part underneath the cone (spider I believe) has become unglued. I am pretty pissed as I haven't had a chance to even turn these puppies up.

Anyway I can glue it back down? It is just on one side, where the wires connect to it. I held it down with my finger with some sound to the driver and it didn't make the annoying rattle/flap.

Is there a silicon I can buy, or adhesive? I would be pretty choked if this sub is blown.

Tik
