I'll defer to the more experienced box builders to help you with the layout and port calculations... my limited experience has been with sealed enclosures.

If you like this design let me know and ill send you the dimensions for it. 3.7 cubes after displacements tuned to 35 hz 75 sq. in. of port. Will slam in an SUV. If not Ill design something else for ya.

Cant get the pics to ever work right on here.

Damn I tried to get your pics to work but they just wouldn't.

Are you sure I should be going 3.7 cubic foot? It says in the little paper that came with it to go 1.3 cubic foot each, so would going with the larger size give me more DB's?

Ok, I think I got my basic setup down

I used Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators

I'm going to try and draw up a schematic now.

1.7 cubic feet per chamber gross, 1.3 cubic foot per chamber net after subtracting port space without subwoofer installed.

Now is the time that I can easily make changes, so what is the general consensus on a box tuned to 32 hertz? Is it a good balance of loudness and sound quality?

Now all I have to do is double up the bottom and top plate length and add in 1.5 inches (I'll have two piece thick divider between, so 0.75 + 0.75). Should work out pretty well, what do you guys think? I will mirror the boxes obviously for symmetry

To view the numbers right click the image and go to view full image.

How do you guys cut your MDF? I assume most of you own power tools, anyone have any good reviews from getting it cut by a person at home depot/rona?

Or anyone know where I can rent a table saw?

Too small in my opinion for an SUV you have the room go bigger.
